Supported by UEL Athena SWAN and UEL’s civic engagement fund, FeMMuseTech are hosting two events looking at Women in Music Technology:

12-2pm, Tuesday 5 May, StratfordFeMMuseTech Research Discussion and Performance Event
This event explores current policies and structures behind gender and music education and how they are changing.This event will be led by a panel of performers, composers and technologists including Dr Victoria Armstrong, a classical musician who has combined a professional performing career with teaching music and the performing arts, and Kealy Cozens, a founder member of Creative Data Club which brings together people who want to explore how to use data in imaginative and playful ways.

12-2pm, Tuesday 12 May, Stratford – FeMMuseTech Research Discussion and Performance Event
This discussion aims to explore the roles of politics, activism, gender and disability in music technology. A panel of women working in music technology in various ways will speak about their experience and facilitate the discussion. The panel includes Ju Gosling, who will also show her work as a disabled artist, and Georgina Brett, who will perform her work live and discuss her work as an artist based in the NHS working with mental health.
