MSCA ITN 2017 Call Submission Rates
The European Commission has released the initial submission rates for the 2017 Marie Skłodowska-Curie Actions (MSCA) Innovative Training Network (ITN) call.
A total of 1,718 proposals were submitted. The breakdown by ITN scheme is as follows:
- European Training Networks (ETN): 1,435 proposals (83.5% of total);
- European Industrial Doctorates (EID): 195 proposals (11.4% of total);
- European Joint Doctorates (EJD): 88 proposals (5.1% of total).
This represents an increase, in comparison to the previous MSCA ITN calls under Horizon 2020 in 2015 and 2016, which received 1,567 and 1,611 proposals, respectively. The overall budget for the 2017 MSCA ITN call has been increased to €430 million from €370 million in 2016. It will be distributed across the three schemes of ITNs in the following way: ETN – €370 million, EID – €28 million, EJD – €32 million. The results can be expected at the beginning of June 2017.
